This stunning boutique-style hotel overlooks Buckingham Palace and its mews, and provides personalised service. The Rubens at the Palace is a short walk from Victoria station and is ideal for Victoria Palace and Victoria Apollo theatres. The hotel is situated a short walk from Westminster, Mayfair and London’s West End.

Each room at The Rubens at the Palace has been individually designed with thoughtful touches of luxury as well as homely comforts. The hotel boasts a selection of some of the very best food and beverage offerings in London with culinary experiences tailored using ingredients from Royal Warrant Holder suppliers. The flagship English Grill restaurant offers a truly refined and stylish setting in opulently designed surroundings. Murano chandeliers and a live-action kitchen make for a truly unique experience. The menu offers signature classics, including steaks, plant-based selections and seasonal desserts. Dishes are grilled to perfection in our charcoal-fired Josper Grill.
The glass wall overlooking the pass allows guests to watch some of the action taking place in the kitchen with several of our menu items served with a theatrical table-side flourish. The dining experience is accompanied by an extensive wine list, including a fine selection from Bouchard Finlayson, our vineyard in South Africa, alongside a beautiful Champagne trolley.

The Palace Lounge is a magnificent bright open space with panoramic views of The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace - the King's stables. As the royal carriages pass, it is the perfect place to start your day with a morning coffee and a selection of delicious pastries. The Palace Lounge is the ideal setting to enjoy our famous Royal Afternoon Tea.

Our Curry Room is an authentic journey of discovery, blending Indian and African influences in our signature fine-dining style. An inspired three-course menu created by Chef Arun Kumar alongside an exceptional Thali.

Special touch makes all the difference!

It’s like stepping into a palace of its own, just steps away from Buckingham Palace Royal Mews. I went for a run in Saint James Park. Ended just to see them leaving their barracks for the big changing of the guard. It was pretty memorable! I had gluten free tea on site and it was fabulous. I highly recommend. I had mentioned that I stayed at this hotel 29 years ago with my grandparents. And I must say, the staff went out of their way on a daily basis to make sure my stay was a special one. This hotel has the kind of service you’d expect on a luxury cruise just on land.

Just wish there was some access to air, either with a window or fan.

Excellent location excellent staff highly recommended.

We’ll located opposite Buckingham Palace and within 30 mins walking of most tourist spots. Also the hop on hop off bus stops outside the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and serviced daily.

Room was very small suitable for a single person and bed was a double not queen size. We were offered an upgrade however didn’t accept. Perhaps it is wise for a couple to upsize.

Location, the furnish and decoration was very nice.

We could not book into our usual hotel in London as it was fully booked, so we did not really know what to expect. The location was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and polite, in fact this is now our first choice of hotel for our London visits.

good location - friendly staff in reception

I stayed in the Master Suite apparently the best room in the hotel with my partner and without any notice at 20.30 the cleaner just invaded in the room finding us completely unprepared and in fact interrupting a very private moment...Total and unacceptable breach of privacy!!! - when someone pays so much money for a nice room privacy should be quaranteed not compromised!

We stayed here mainly because we needed to catch a flight out from Gatwick very early n the morning, on the Gatwick Express that leaves the Victoria station at 5:00 a.m.. We walked from the hotel to the station towing our luggages and with smooth pavement it was an enjoyable walk. The room was small without much space to open our suitcases, but otherwise it was comfortable, with nice British decor. So, this place was a good choice.

The staff were really warm and welcoming, the room was dark and quiet, the service in the bar excellent, yummy room service food, yummy breakfast with best hotel coffee I've had in the UK. The décor is amazing. Specail kudos for not batting an eyelid when I turned up at the door with a Brompton bike in tow.

Being really, really picky we had to ask twice for some more toast at breakfast but, you know, so what?

We have stayed at The Rubens a couple of times in the past and have always been very pleased with the hospitality, delicious food and wonderful service...we will definitely stay again next year as we are celebrating our 50th anniversary and have a lovely year of festivities planned...see you in June! Excellent location near Buckingham palace and St. James Park. Also very close to Victoria and Cardinal Place for shops and restaurants. Staff were great, friendly and attentive. Excellent female singer in the bar in the evening. Very classy place but not in the least stuffy.

The room was on the small side however it was very comfortable and air conditioned.

The position near the Palace was ideal and the staff were very helpful and tried hard to please. Breakfast was great, well cooked food and the staff were keen to help with the family and 'costs'. Lovely dining room.

The room was rather small and compact...no bath just shower cubicle.

Dinner on both evenings was excellent as well as the afternoon tea . The staff are very friendly and makes the Hotel what it is well done To all the staff without exception. The location to Buckingham palace was what we wanted as we had A reception there and was only 3 minutes walk away.

The bedrooms are small, but the bathrooms are even smaller. The shower is over the barh which if you are a bit older like me Can be a bit of a hazard.
